01 — Refund Policy
How This Policy Works
This policy covers cancellations and refunds for treks, events, and membership offered by Terran Enterprise LLC, which operates Terran Denizen. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
The terms shown when you book are the terms that apply. Every trek and event page states its own price, deposit, and refund schedule. This policy sets the framework and fills in anything a trek or event page does not address.
The full price of anything you buy from us, including any mandatory charges, is shown before you pay.

Treks: If You Cancel
Deposit
A deposit secures your place. The amount is shown on the trek page and is applied toward your program fee. Deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel the trek.
Program fee
Refunds of the program fee follow the schedule published on the trek page. Where a trek page does not publish a schedule, this standard schedule applies:

Accommodation add-ons
Optional accommodation that we book on your behalf follows the same schedule, unless the trek page states stricter terms set by the lodging provider, in which case those terms apply.
How to cancel
Cancel in your account or by emailing hello@terrandenizen.com from the address on your account. The cancellation date is the date we receive your request. Days are counted to the trek start date shown on the trek page.
Transferring your place
If you can no longer attend, ask us about transferring your place to another eligible member. We approve transfers where the host and logistics allow.

Treks: If We Cancel or Change
Minimum participation
Each trek requires a minimum number of participants, shown on the trek page. If the minimum is not met, we may cancel the trek. We will make that decision and notify you no later than 30 days before the trek start date.
What you receive
If we cancel a trek because the minimum was not met, or for any other reason within our control, you may choose a full refund of everything you paid us, including your deposit, or a credit of the same amount toward a future trek.
Events outside our control
If we must cancel or cut short a trek because of events outside our reasonable control, such as a government travel advisory, a border closure, a natural disaster, civil unrest, a public health emergency, or a host withdrawing access, we will refund what you paid us less any amounts already paid to third parties that we are unable to recover, or you may take a credit for the full amount.
Significant changes
If we change the dates or destination of a trek after you book, you may withdraw and receive a full refund, including your deposit, by telling us within 7 days of our notice.
04 — Refund Policy
Travel You Book Yourself
Flights and other travel to and from the destination are not part of any trek. You book and pay for them yourself, and we cannot refund or reimburse them in any circumstance, including when a trek is canceled or changed.
- We strongly recommend that you wait for our written confirmation that the trek will run before booking non-refundable travel.
- We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation and interruption. Medical and emergency evacuation coverage is required under the Trek Participation Agreement.
05 — Refund Policy
Events and Other Programs
Refund and cancellation terms for events are set event by event and stated on the event page. The terms shown when you register are the terms that apply to your registration.
The same applies to any other paid program or offering: the refund terms stated at the time of purchase apply.
Where no refund terms are stated, payments are non-refundable unless we cancel. If we cancel an event or program and do not reschedule it, you receive a full refund of what you paid us for it.

Membership Dues
Membership dues are non-refundable once the membership term has begun. You may cancel at any time to stop future renewals, and you keep your benefits through the end of the term you have paid for.
If we end your membership for a reason other than your breach of our Terms of Service, we will refund the unused portion of your current term.
07 — Refund Policy
Removal for Conduct
If you are removed from a trek or event, or your membership is ended, because of a breach of our Community Standards or the Trek Participation Agreement, no refund is due.

How Refunds Are Paid
Refunds are returned to your original payment method, normally within 10 business days of approval. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund.
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before disputing it with your card issuer. We can usually resolve it faster.
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right that the law of the country or state where you live gives you and that cannot be waived.
